Richard Bamforth

Head of Informatics and Development

Richard joined ScriptSwitch in 2009 and has day to day responsibility to lead and manage the informatics and development function, working closely with the senior management team to ensure delivery of the current and future product portfolio and infrastructure.

Richard has considerable experience of systems development and a thorough understanding of the IT dynamics within a Primary Care setting including the Dept of Health, NHS Connecting for Health, Primary Care Trusts and Practice Based Commissioning Groups.

Prior to joining ScriptSwitch, Richard completed a number of consultancy assignments with NHS trusts and was previously Director of Application Support and Development for a large secondary care Trust in the Staffordshire.
