ScriptSwitch and the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) have developed a suite of patient safety messages for use by the NHS in supporting ScriptSwitch users.
The safety messages remind prescribers of medication risks and safe practice when prescribing specific medicines for which the NPSA has issued patient Safety Alerts or Rapid Response Reports.
Martyn Carroll, Head of Medicines Management for ScriptSwitch says, “ScriptSwitch is delighted to be involved with the NPSA in this initiative to improve patient safety by implementing support for safer prescribing. We very much look forward to making the NPSA information messages available to all of our NHS customers for them to use in supporting their GPs at the point of prescribing”
